PriusChat has lost a dear friend, Brian @ BT Tech

    I received some horrible news this afternoon and wanted to share it with the community. PriusChat lost a dear friend Saturday, Brian Feldman from BT Technologies. Brian was involved in an motorcycle accident on Saturday. Brian was an enthusiast of just about anything with a motor, and we were lucky to have him lend his expertise in designing and creating the BT Tech products that I have proudly offered through this website since 2005.

    Brian was not only a business associate of mine - he was a friend. I will greatly going to miss our lengthy conversations about everything from Prius to politics.

    Brian is survived by his wife (and co-worker at BT Tech), Betsy, and his young daughter Amanda.

    I just found out this news, so I haven't had a chance to process it and think about what we can possibly do as a community to memorialize him. In the meantime, please feel free to post comments on his profile or in this post and I will share them with Betsy.

    I have the BT plate that he designed. My deepest condolences to his family. We will miss his contribution to Prius community not only with great products but also the dyno graphs, etc..

    Oh dear. I never knew him personally but I appreciated the products that he produced for our Prius in an effort to help improve the dynamics of the vehicle.

    My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

    I am deeply sorry to hear this terrible news. My deepest condolences to his wife and daughter. I enjoyed talking to him on the phone in the early Prius years as i bought a set of Integrity tires from him that he just replaced on his new Prius back then. We shared a good laugh when i told him I was just an old fart and the Integrity's were just fine to me and that the Prius handled fine to me without any add on things. He really had a great personality.

    I am so sorry to hear of this tragic event. Even so, I thank you, Danny, for sharing this news with us and reminding us of the family-like beginnings of PriusChat.

    I will remember to pray for Betsy and Amanda, and those who have loved and will miss Brian.

    Had several phone calls with Brian WRT his products as I tested prototypes and photographed installs. Always very generous and helpful and what a contributor to the community. I'm very sad to hear of his death. Too many too damn young.

    I am deeply saddened to hear of Brian's passing. I was an early adopter of the BT stiffening plate he brought to market. I feel absolutely horrible now and my heart goes out to his friends and family. He will be missed terribly.

    This is such sad news. Brian was open, approachable, and friendly and believed in his products and service. He went the extra mile and was ready to chat on the phone anytime.

    My sympathy goes to his wife, daughter, parents, and family. Such a sudden tragic loss can never be fully comprehended. I will miss him. The Prius community has lost a partner.

    Even though I don't have one (yet?), I've always heard recommendations for the BT Tech plate on here.
