    from the short conversations we held, he was the nicest guy. he let me test the 1st stiffening plates.. then i bent it.. and he sent me a new one. (that's been off record for a while)

    Very sad news. Brian made some great products and was always pleasant to deal with. I'm sure his family and friends miss him deeply.

    To Brain's family, I am so sorry for you loss. The times I spoke to Brian were great, he was trying to help, he will be missed. He was one of the good guys.:(

    I spoke with Betsy yesterday and she wanted me to let everyone know that she has decided to continue on with the BT Tech business and will continue to offer the products that Brian put so much time and effort into.

    Here is a photo of Brian with his family that was posted over on the memorial page. I feel it's appropriate to share since so many of us on PC have never even seen each other's faces:

    eep -- I didn't run across this thread until just now. Wow.
    That sucks. I distinctly remember a long and very informative
    phone conversation with him, talking about plates and suspension
    dynamics and all sorts of stuff.
    .
    Next time I'm under the car I'm going to stare long and hard
    at my BT plate, which has far and away been one of the best
    additions I ever made to the car, and think of its creator.
    For something he asserted was a quick hack-job experiment, it
    is a strong testament to the man's innate skills.

    Man, I just saw this thread. What a sad sad event. I have the BT plate, and if I'm correct, the BT plate thread still holds the record for the longest thread on PC. If I recall, over 1000 posts. All of which Brian answered and discussed intelligently, patiently, and with dignity and respect for those who disagreed with him.

    what a true loss to the community, his family, and many others I'm sure.

    What a tragedy for the family, gone in the prime of life. I talked to Brian a couple of times and we emailed each other about his products. I almost felt I knew him, he was always willing to take the time to explain things. A true gentleman, he will be missed.
