Does the solar roof come standard with any of the trim models?

I'm thinking of getting either the IV or V. When working thru the Toyota site I noticed that if I picked a V I didn't see the solar panels anywhere. Any ideas?

On a not really related note, my son mentioned that he heard that 75k 2010's had already been pre-ordered. True?

    Thanks,

    Larry

Only available on Package III and IV cars.

Not sure on preorder numbers. Its been mentioned before on this forum that there are 75k preorders. No idea where the info came from.

Thanks, any idea why? In any event I've put in a request thru the AmEx Auto Purchasing Program for the V with sunroof. I've been quoted MSRP of 30,150 (Invoice of 28,219)

    Thanks,

    Larry

Not all regions will offer every package but either way the Prius V is not available with Sunroof/Solar. Hope this information helps.

Its been debated on many threads in this forum but the consensus seems to be that the weight of the 17" tires and wheels + solar panel roof would cause the EPA MPG ratings to be invalid due to all the extra weight of that combination.

Larry, looks like you are new to the forum. This has been discussed at great length. Bottom line, engineers apparantly decided that Prius V, with alloy wheels would be too heavy with the sunroof. Look through the top sticky thread to get lots of info on the options available.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been following this forum for months but just today decided to take the plunge.

    Take care, Larry

You'll need to go back to the quote to see what vehicle is being discussed.

The Prius V is not offered with any packages other than Nav or Adv. Tech. (which includes the Nav.).

The dollar figure you have appears to be the Prius IV with the Solar Roof Package. The MSRP is $25,800 for the base Prius IV. The Solar Rook Package adds $3,600. The Destination Charge is $750. The total MSRP is $30,150.
