Not one dealer I talked to, included the above items mentioned, not one. Again, do your homework and be informed. Thanks so much fuzzy and redgreen for the nice words. Bottom line, this is a FANTASTIC car. The dealers know it. It will be the HOTTEST car this year. BE INFORMED, BE INFORMED, BE INFORMED. It is your money.
I know more than the dealers now from researching here and online, hence the no BS from them towards me and now being able to pick up my car today at 1PM at msrp.

The floor mats at $200 were added on by every dealer. No exceptions I found. It is standard add on when you buy the car. I would have gone somewhere else to buy them but it is included and cant get away from that.

If you need the all weather mats on top of the carpet ones, which are $200, I would just go buy generic ones. That is what I will do since I live where there is alot of water.

Fyi, the carpet mats come in 4. 2 for front, 2 for back. The all weather mats are only 2, for the front only, not the back.

I just go by what's on the Toyota website.
The option listed on the website list:
    all weather floor/cargo mats _ 5 pcs set $199
My dealer will be supplying them.

As for generic, I've tried them and don't like them. The rigid ones with the lip warp and get in the way, many generic ones don't have the deeper grooves. I like the soft rubber and deep groves in the Toyota brans and they have the car name molded into the edge which I like.

I hate paying for the carpeted mats as I never use them but they do look good when I trade the car in.

Perfect. I did not know it came with 4. My dealer said it only came with 2. Again, be informed :)

I will probably bite it then and get the all weather mats also or see if he can trade out the carpet mats for the all weather ones. Thx so much!

I've had 10+ Toyota's and I've never been luck enough to drop the carpet mats. However as I close the deal I've always said throw in the all weather mats floor mats and we have a deal. :) Unfortunately, I've done this so many times my dealer now says, let me guess I have to throw in the mats.

For people that like to accessorize their Prius (seems like everyone on here) the Toyota Brand mats with the Prius logo on them makes for a nice touch.

The hold up well. I have a set of Sequoia mats in my Ford Expedition :)

Just to add my 2 cents...

Although I can't speak to the $200 Toyota official floor mats for the 2010 Prius, I ran into a similar situation when I bought my 2006 Prius new. It seemed like many/most dealers "couldn't" get the Prius back then w/o floor mats.

My dealer (Toyota Sunnyvale) was straight up with about it when I said I didn't want them for my 06. He told me that they were port installed. IIRC, basically, they order the vehicles w/floor mats. If he's quick enough, he can get them yanked on my incoming car when it showed up to port. If not, he can yank them from another later car and just put my mats in another car. He finally said if he couldn't do either, he'd give me the mats and eat the cost.

I received my 06, as I wanted, without mats.

If the 2010 situation is the same, some dealers might be willing to do the above.

Talked with Scott at Jon and Phil's and they seem like a good straight shooting dealership. No VIP packages etc. to deal with (never did hear a peep back from Jon at Gladstone BTW about removing the "VIP" add on). If that #2 could have Nav on it (which know it couldn't) I think I would go for that. Still tempting at $22,950. And then there is still a all out #5 with tech. Decisions, decisions.

Also just drove a '10 Honda Insight and was blown away with how much nicer the '10 Prius is.

Congrats on the new car Julie!

I'm new at this, but my wife and I just drove a Prius II here in Bend, OR last weekend and are considering a Prius II with a dealer installed leather interior (I believe it's done by Coach Automotive Restyling)..

However, we would like to see a Prius with the moonroof. I understand that we would have to upgrade to a III or IV to get the moonroof option.

We will be traveling through the Portland area Saturday on our way to visit family in Olympia, WA. Does anyone know what dealers if any might have a III or IV with the moonroof on thier lot Saturday the 23rd?
    Thanks,

    Jim

Thx! Did you go to Corvallis and test drive the 2? Scott said someone came down and tried it out and got the info from me on priuschat. How cool is that?

Nope, I think the region only got 2 and I bought one. Not sure where the other one is. I will be at the beach on Sat (not bringing the car though because of the dog) or else I would meet you. The sunroof is amazing. I love it and am very glad I got it. Lets in alot of sunshine. Spendy but you get the nav with it and it is really decadent.

    Thanks, Julie,

My wife is somewhat clausterphobic, and we would like to see how much difference the sunroof would make in making the interior of the car feel more "roomy" - although it would be a stretch for us due to the cost.

Because the moonroof slides up and over the top vs. down and in, there's no noticable loss of headroom.

They've got a Blue Ribbon Prius II at McMinnville Toyota. Nick Bekken helped me close on New Blue last night.

If I were looking at my dealership not getting delivery of any of the new Prii for another month, and noting that here's a long, sunny weekend to drive it home, I might be thinking about how's there's no sales tax in Oregon. . . . :)

Too bad I would have to pay the sales tax in order to register it in California, otherwise this sounds tempting... I can understand that my backward state can't fix the budget, but why can't I have my Prius before June?

The "no sales tax in Oregon" is irrelevant to those of us in WA and CA. The tax issue applies where the car is registered, not where it is sold.

Yep that was me. Very tempting to pick up the one just sitting there at MSRP, but I want a few more options. Just trying to figure out what I want. Thanks for your tip about the the #2 model, it was good to see after the #4 I drove a earlier.

But my Oregon dealer contact says they take out the sales tax for my state (Idaho) at time of transaction. Are you sure about this no sales tax idea?

When you go to register it in Idaho, they will collect the tax. I sold my Prius to someone in Washington (I live in Oregon) and the bank tacked on the sales tax to his purchase when I went to pick up his check.
