I contacted Sunnyvale Toyota and was able to get a quote of $25,200 OTD (including tax, title, license) for an '09 Package 5. Called a few other dealers in the area and they said they could match that. Seems like a good deal, but I wonder if there may be even more room to work there given that a few other dealers have said they could do that same price? Any thoughts or experiences? What have others been paying for the Package 5?

Note: Tax in California (where I live) is 9.25%!

you can. just ask them to beat the deal. i am sure they will do it for a couple hundred off what is advertised. i would even say $22,300 for one + TTL.

who said they can match? Both Stevens Creek and Putnam said they can't match. They both have good stock on package 5's

According to Edmunds.com, the Tampa/St. Pete Florida area has $2,000 manufacturer to dealer incentive money. Couple that with customer incentive 0% / 36 mos. financing, and you could get a great deal on a 2009.

$24,763 on a #1226 with package 6 - my only regret is they didn't hacve my preferred color (red) - but at that price I had to give up the 2010!:cheer2:

Great deal! Congrats! We only got $1000 back, but I was pleased with my deal as well. What color did you get?

    $15,000 for a 2005 pk#5 41k miles. (private party)

Just a word to people going to the dealers. Negotiate your monthly payment not the final price of everything. Get a pre-approval from your credit union, unless you are getting special toyota financing that has a lower rate than your CU. Obviously if you can, don't come in with a trade in; sell your car private party if you can. If you have your pre-approval and no trade in, the only thing the dealer can do to meet your monthly payment is to decrease the price of their car to get your sale. We've knocked off $2500 from "special internet" pricing before. It can be done!

Silver with the charcoal interior. 32 MPG on way home! I wonder how long it will take me to feel like I know where the hood ends, though... My husband says he set up my nav and radio while I have been studying tonight (I am in fact an MBA student, and work FT too). We'll see tomorrow, let the savings begin!

Out the door was $21,600 with my trade at $5000 (Edmunds wholesale value, so OK since I couldn't sell it myself, no time), a dealer fee of $600, tag transfer and some misc fees plus @ $1200 FL tax. Stadium Toyota has one more silver #1226 with package 6 in Tampa, that I bet they will sell for the same price.

The silver will show much less dirt than my Spectra Blue. I love the color of mine, but it shows every speck. I have the gray interior as well, which I like a lot. You'll get the feel of where the hood ends in no time.

Depends on how far away she is from the dealer. I only live 3 miles away from mine, and the car never had a chance to warm up before I got it home.

Just came home with a 09 black touring and package #5, for 26,000 out the door in Texas. They are becoming increasingly scarce around here. So far so good.

I am close to the dealer; I am now at 39.9 at 160 miles total driven, without trying, my goal is to break 40 before I figure out how to try to do better.

Not to worry, it will get better. With just a little attention to how I drive, I am getting 47 so far on this tank. I have been slowing down earlier, rather than driving quickly in between traffic lights and stop signs. I was (still can be) a rather leadfooted driver. I am no longer doing 80, but I still drive between 65 and 72 on my usual trip to work. If I make more modifications to the way I drive, I'm sure my mpgs will continue to improve.
