I dont know if this has been done before, I'm a newbie, but quite simply reply (the idea here is for it not to turn into a price discussion, just a listing of prices paid):

    Package
    Price paid
    Region bought

I think it would be nice to have this for those of us who are still negotiating with dealers.

MSRP + $750 "Delivery Processing and Handling Fee" for a Prius V from Toyota of Kirkland, WA. Bought it last week - walked in one morning, drove the car home in the evening. No waiting list, deposit or any other complications. Very satisfying experience.

Their normal deal seems to be to add a chip protection film over the front of the car for an additional $1295. However I happened to walk in just as they were unloading a delivery truck and bought the car before they had a chance to add the film. The salesman made a very professional attempt to sell me the film but didn't push it when I said I didn't want it. He did imply though that it was only because I bought the car before they fully processed it that I was able to avoid buying the protection film.

The other dealer near here (Lake City Toyota) has a "mandatory" $695 VIP package consisting of "Protective Door Cups, Door Edge Guards, Nitrogen Tire Inflation, and 1st Quarter Size Ding Removal". When I was trying to negotiate a deal there I found that although they say this is required to be included in all their Prius 2010 sales if you get up to walk out it becomes a negotiable item. However they didn't have the car I wanted so it was a moot point.

31,194 IV blizzard pearl solar nav, with a couple extras, straight MSRP, with 100 dealer fee. don't know tax and title yet (haven't taken delivery).

a different dealer i preferenced at had cargo net, mats, and lug nutz (fine) but also had a 300 appearance protection package (basically a simonize wax job and some scotchguard) that i said i didn't want. He said "all cars sold here have this". Since the car wasn't there, i asked them if they were going to lose a deal over that, and after a mgr conference they deleted it.

Not using Toyota's definition of MSRP. From their web site:

"Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, excludes the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee of $750 for Cars and $800 for Trucks, "

Seems stupid to say "delivery fee" is non-negotiable fee cause don't all cars HAVE to come over on a ship and be delivered??? So shouldn't that be included in the "cost" of the car...which I deem to be MSRP. Or they could, I guess, say they will give you $750 off MSRP but still make you pay the $750 delivery fee. Whatever. It's all the same and still makes the final sale and loan price the same right?!?!:eek:hwell:

That's like advertising a sale on DVDs for $10!! But you get there and they say, "But I had to fedex yours to get it so I have to charge you the $3 fee".
    "So the DVD is $13?"
"No. The DVD is $10 and shipping is $3."
    semantics:rant:

No Nav, no SR. I've got a TomTom, and I rarely park outside in direct sunlight for extended periods of time, so thought both were a waste of money.

Other than Nav and SR, there aren't really any other "packages", correct?

Package 3 w/o nav. + applique + floor matts. $200 under MSRP + 3 oil changes and some center caps for the 15" wheels. Plus the dealer found the exact (color options) car I wanted at port and traded with another dealer. And finally to top it off found a buyer for my 08 prius trade and got me $1000 more than trade NADA trade value. All in all I thought my salesman worked pretty hard for me. black v with nav, rear bumper bs, all weather mats for $29,789 ($300 off MSRP).

Dealer doc fee $50 (reasonable i guess), license $240 (i think), no sales tax (thanks WA state) = $30,079 out the door.

most expensive hatch back ever. couldn't be happier with the car tho.

Does anyone know if you are charged tax on the delivery fee?
