Congratulations! (Sorry that I had to pull out of being a recharging stop.) :(

123.1 mpg on the slow speed run. :cheer2:

Now, for comparisons, inquiring people want to know:

What was the average speed and mpg on your HIGH speed run back home?

Hi JH, No problemo wit the recharge... Flexibility was the name of the game for this trip... Trip home was two full tanks of fuel, approx. 1090 miles, (straight down I-95) at avg speed of 65-70 mph and.......

Drum roll please.... 52 mpg avg for the entire trip home....

Not too shabby, I think. 52 mpg Highway... I do believe that beats the EPA ratings nicely...

Thanks again to all the wonderful people along this entire journey... and I shall now begin my fade back into anonymity...:p

Of course, I will still be haunting Prius Chat tossing in my 2 cents worth of advice, knowledge and unasked for opinions!!:D

~52mpg is around what I got on last year's trip to Winston-Salem, NC. Looks like I gave up a ~15% increase by passing on the 2010.

    52 MPG and at 65 -> 70!!! :thumb: I'm either sick or envious! :mad2:

My '07 TCH is doing excellent if I can get 42 ->45 mpg out of it on I-95 (at 55 to 60 mph)! :eek:hwell:

Question: How many double-takes did you get at 70 mph while driving your car with the high-mpg test decals on it? :peace:

Wow, I totally missed this thread until someone pointed to it
over on cleanmpg. Nice job! Sounds like a fun trip and a good
    high-visibility event.
    .
Which could be seen a couple of different ways, of course. What
sort of responses were you generally getting from other traffic,
and how did you respond? How did you deal with the inevitable
agressors and tailgaters, especially on the higher-speed roads?

    Hiya Hobbit!!

Got tons of weird looks while rolling... Most of the roads were 45 mph limit, but I still annoyed a lot of people.... I did have some areas where I went ahead and worked up to 50-55 to avoid backing up traffic and quite a few times I simply pulled over and let others go by. I would also try to make the best use of the passing zones, by slowing and waving others around. Once they saw all the decals on the car, they usually just waved and smiled. Recharge stops got the most attention though as everyone was interested in the car... I must have showed off the Hymotion battery about 500 times or more!!
