What features my 2010 Prius is missing

I will have to sit in the car and play around with the manual seats to see if they adjust enough well enough with the manual controls. If they do, then power seats aren't very necessary, but they would be a convenience as an option or standard feature for those who are already spending the money on the top Prius V model.
A feature that would add next to nothing in both weight and cost would be auto-on headlights. That should be standard on the III up.
I personally don't care about Head Up Display, but I suppose if you are spending thousands on the Tech package with laser cruise and automatic parking, HUD would be nice to go with it.

 

Rick, you don't understand.
All these features need to be engineered into the vehicle at no additional mass and no additional cost. People think they are paying enough for the car as it is. Fuel consumption will also be made better, after all that's easy to do, isn't it?

 

I would like daytime driving lights - start vehicle, lights come on - and brighter red (other?) color(s) on displays - simply can not see some of the indicators during day time.

 

I'd like lane-departure-warning and lane-keeping-assist. Not sure why this feature is not part of the Canadian Technology Package. Anyone out there have any clues?

 

I know it sounds odd, I bought a Honda Civic Hybrid and can you believe this, it could not have Heated Outside Mirrors, but yet if sold in Canada it would come standard. Now Canada is 30 minutes from Buffalo so go figure.

after a while, one thing i do notice is that when playing my ipod and getting a call, the ipod does not pause while i am talking. kind of a bummer to have to pause it first before i answer the phone.

 

If you just leave your headlights turned on all the time, you'll have it. they will shut off after 30 seconds (or something like that) of powering off.

 

That is exactly what I do - leave the headlights on all the time. But be aware that the 30 second auto off feature doesn't work until you close all the doors. This afternoon I parked my car in the garage as usual and started unloading some stuff from the back seat. After a couple of trips into the house I kept thinking to myself that it's been a lot longer than 30 seconds, what's the deal? After closing the door it was indeed about 30 seconds until the ligths turned off.

I read in one thread that the auto-off lights feature can be customized by the dealer to turn off immediately. This would make it that same as other Toyotas with this feature. Of course, you are giving up the extra 30 seconds if you are parked in a dark place.

Does anyone know if the dealer charges a fee for making this and other customizable changes?
