Spotted 2 within 5 minutes of each other in Tempe, AZ on Wednesday (7/8/09) morning while eating at the Jack In The Box near the corner of Mill Ave. and University (near ASU). First car was a Barcelona Red (15" rims, non-solar) turning left off of University heading North up Mill Ave. Saw it 5-10 minutes later returning in the opposite direction. Less than 5 minutes after seeing the red, we saw a Blizzard Pearl with company logos (again 15" rims, non-solar) also heading north up Mill Ave. Seems there's enough to go around for fleet cars already and that corporations are paying the extra $220 to get the "white" car.

Yes. On the road and in our driveway :).

We took home a Gen III, blizzard white on June 22.

I haven't been looking for them, but today I was driving past the Toyota dealership and saw a car pulling out for a test drive. "What kind of car is that?" I thought. "Oh, it's the new Prius!"

That was the first time I had actually seen one. It was white.

Maybe that doesn't count, unless they ended up buying it.

I saw 5 Gen III Prius of various colours on the streets of Sydney during a recent trip, I was also driving a Gen III Prius. Funny thing is, the Gen III Prius hasn't been released in Australia yet!

Of course it was the National Media Launch and I was an invitee!
I was driving an i-Tech, the top of the range Prius here in Australia, just about the spec of a Prius V in the USA. It had everything the US Prius V has except LKA plus it has HUD and indicators in the mirrors.
Oh, and the steering wheel is on the right side, not the wrong side.

Spotted a Prius V on the Washington DC beltway crossing the American Legion Bridge. I was about to catch up with him when he exited for the GW Parkway. This was this past Thursday afternoon. Otherwise just two other sightings of a 2010 Winter Gray in Silver Spring, MD.

About a month ago I saw a black one in Rockville, MD (DC area). At first when I saw the temporary tags I just assumed it was a new 2009, but then I noticed the blue logo. I followed it for quite a while to get a glimpse of the side to see the crease. I don't think the Gen III in black looks that different from the Gen II because the crease doesn't stand out that much. I haven't seen another one on the road since (except for Fred Garvin's).

Starting to see more of the Gen IIIs on the road up here in the Seattle area. Saw a Winter Grey on 3rd Avenue in Seattle earlier this week. Yesterday near Pt Defiance park saw a Sandy Beach metallic in a parking lot and then on drive back home saw a Blue Ribbon Gen III going east on Highway 16.

Yesterday I spotted a Blue Ribbon, three Silvers, a Black, and a Winter Grey.

So far, Classic Silver has been the most popular color in LA, followed by Winter Grey. (At least that I've seen)

I completely agree with you regarding the black. I at first thought the car I was following was a later model. It was only after I was running parallel to the car that I noticed the Prius V alloy wheels. There is no question that my silver is clearly a Gen III from any angle and distance. I am glad I waited for the 2010.

As I turned onto my street I looked in the rearview and saw a Gen III Winter Grey, just like mine! This was yesterday in the Inglewood neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee, the third I've seen in the wild.

We have owned our Blue Ribbon V for three weeks and I only spotted 1 Blizzard II during that period. We have quite a few Gen II in this area(Quad Cities).

i didn't say he shouldn't have purchased the undercoating, which you may or may not have implied i said.

I said he should be concerned over an undercoating that is leaking much later "because its hot."

I have seen two. One on 6/15 the same day I picked up mine. And then saw one last week that was state owned. I was surprised that the state of Montana would be purchasing the cars for their fleet so soon.

I finally saw my first one in the wild (not counting a PriusChat event in Chicago, and it was another Blizzard Pearl, on Route 31 in Joliet, IL. We both smiled and waved, and then drove on down the street. It did not have solar roof, nor was it a V, like mine.

I've yet to see any on the road so far. (In either NYC or NJ) :(

Had my 2010 Blizzard Pearl III for just over a month now. I get a few waves and smiles from some Gen II drivers. But I've noticed lately (including this morning), that some Gen II drivers get agitated when they see me and start to push their cars a bit faster down the highway. ;)

I live near Visalia, CA (Central Valley) and have seen a half dozen in the month that we have owned our Blue Ribbon Metallic V w/Nav). (Have seen about 3 new Honda Insights in that same time period!!)

We were camping in Sequoia National Park last week and on our way home down the mountain, I saw 2 Blizzard Pearl models coming up the mountain from Fresno about 5 minutes apart. The second one had an Oxnard Toyota paper plate - didn't see the other one's paper plate. (Oxnard is in the Northern part of Southern California).

Guess they were headed for a nice picnic...they surely weren't struggling to get up the hill, which goes from the SJ Valley floor to 7000 ft in around 45 miles!!
Next time we go up I'll be taking our Prius instead of pulling a 31ft trailer up that hill.

    Enjoy

Still haven't seen any on the road in eastern PA. I wonder if I will be able to spot a Gen III with just a quick glance?

When not moving, the wheels are a big give-away.

When moving, I did notice that the gen III has the black bar across the back instead of the color matching like in gen II. This should be easily seen from the back except for the black cars. The logo should also be visable if you get close enough.

Spotted a 2010 Gen III with Gen II 15 inch chrome wheels in the Whole Foods parking lot on Nobel Dr. in La Jolla last week (can't remember the day)
