New to the cars but have friends that own them and swear by them. Of course the thing that attracts us is the MPG. We found a 2005 with 73,000 miles. There isn't a safety or Nav package included and has cloth seats. It seems to be in pretty good shape with the exception of a few interior and exterior scratches. Probably will get an inspection prior to the purchase. They want $10,800. Is that a good deal? Thanks

Sounds pretty close to what we see here in the SD area. Just traded mine in to dealer (just easier) and got $13k. I did have nav and 45k miles. It was trashed cosmetically though (I really need the back up camera!!) with scratches, stains, dings and 2 window stars.
Be sure all maintenance is done and an inspection should be fine. Good luck and enjoy!

Sounds like a good deal to me. KBB is around 12,500. However, I'd take a mechanic and get it inspected to make sure that everything works well before I buy. Also, check out any warranty options available on a car that has run 73k miles. Usually, major problems only start after 60k-70k miles. Good luck :)
