Maybe the best deal out there!

Hi everyone, I've been meaning to pass this information on to anyone who may be interested, and have finally gotten around to getting back to the forum and hope you may find it helpful.

I bought a Sandy Beach, 2010, model V, with nav from Chuck Hutton Toyota in Memphis, TN. I made the deal over the phone with Mitch James, 901-345-3200. I live about 600 miles from Memphis! I was able to fly there, pay for food and gas, spend one night in a hotel, and still come out WAAAY ahead of what a dealership 3 miles from my house was willing to do.

Some of you will suspect that I'm just trying to drum up business and will make money if you buy there. That is not the case at all! It's just that I had my local dealer, with whom I had a $1,000.00 deposit since last summer, and a written contract for $600.00 off MSRP, refuse to honor our contract when I sat down to take delivery, even with an extra $1,000.00 in port installed options that I didn't want!!! (remote start, illuminated door sills, cargo tote, cargo net) Was I angry??? You bet! So I got my money back and went to work looking for someone willing to sell me a car at a fair price.

That's a short version of how I found Mitch...lol. Anyway, we agreed to a price based on an amount over invoice, which was even better than the $600.00 off MSRP, and I flew down ($149.00) two days later! Mitch had a salesman pick me up at my hotel the next morning (June 13), and less than 2 hours later I was on the road home!!!

At the risk of making this sound too good to be true, Chuck Hutton Toyota also has a fantastic deal on the extended Toyota warranty! There was no pressure to buy it, and you can decline if you want. The only "extras" were the floor mats, and Mitch even located the car and got it through a dealer trade!

Search any of my past posts and you'll see I'm just a regular guy on here, with no motivation but to pass on the information so you can see if Mitch can give you a great deal too. I won't give my exact price since I can't guarantee he can give you the same price, but the only thing you have to lose is a few minutes of your time and a phone call. I told him I would spread his name, and I hope that you can get a great deal too!

p.s. I know this sounds like an infommercial...lol, but it isn't!

I'm sorry for having taken so long to reply! The only excuse was that the 2010s are in high demand and that they would be willing to honor it on a 2009, but not a 2010. As far as the port installed options go, they have said that those are out of their control and they get whatever the car comes with. According to much that I've read on here, it appears as though they are not being very truthful with that either.
