Alright you tech guys, I've got one for you. I have a '08 in the shop that was towed in from a body shop. Heres what I've found so far:

Put in smart key and push start button- speedo and fuel gauage come on for a few seconds then fuel gauage flashed along with shift indicator.

Scanned for codes- B2275 in memory.
Attempted to check other systems, NO comm for engine/trans, air bag, hyb veh mod, hyb veh batt.
Side air bag was deplayed in accident. Body shop replaced rh door and pulled rf piller. I have inspected modules behind glove box area-no damage found. This car does nothng...wont even come out of park. 12v batt up and also checked main batt voltage-good. Did all basic fuse and connector checks and found nothing.

Anyone out here point me in a direction from here?

    Thanks,
    Rich Rish

Have you considered a subscription to All Data DIY, or to Techstream from Toyota, so you'll know what the code actually means?

According to the subscription I have for a 2004 Prius, B2275 means: "ST output circuit inside power source control ECU or other related circuit is malfunctioning"

The suggested diagnostic is: "Power source control ECU, hybrid vehicle control ECU, or wire harness"

It sounds like this Prius is, or should have been, a write-off.

As far as checking the wire harness, the P6 connector (Power source control ECU) pin 39, to ground, should be 10 kohm or higher. The H14 connector (Hybrid vehicle control ECU) pin 5, to P6 connector pin 39, should be 1 ohm or lower.

If this test fails, the suggested repair is to replace the harness

I very strongly suggest you subscribe to All Data DIY to get the complete diagnostic procedures. A 12 month subscription should be under $16

Thank you for the testing info. I'll get back on it shortly.

I do have Alldata online Pro... no code description listed... and I looked everyplace I could think of on there. Alldata has a bad habit of dispersing info at random throughout different pages. It makes it hard to find AND follow.

    Thanks again

I clicked on "All Diagnostic Trouble Codes," "Diagnostic Trouble Code Subscriptions," "Powertrain Management", and "Push Button Start System"

I agree All Data can make it hard to find DTC's. However, on the main page for the vehicle, on the right if you click on "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" under Popular Shortcuts, then click on "Trouble Code Diagnostic Charts," "Powertrain management," then "B Code Charts," you should see it there

    Hope this helps
