I think they get it pretty close. The stereo and rattles are my two biggest beefs...a good review on the whole though. I do not have the complaint of bad visibility. I find it pretty easy to drive and park. Best car I've owned!

I think it's a pretty fair review. I don't have rattles in mine really, rather beeps, high pitched whirrs, clicks, etc. When I hit the breaks and its queit inside, I can hear what sounds like a barely audible high frequency hum.

After having the Prius for a while, I have no regrets. I'm very happy with it. The one thing I wish Toyota would improve though is the very cheap plastic used all over the interior. I know weight is an issue, but the center console and other areas of the dash and surrounding parts seem very flimsy.

excellent reveiw but i question their 30 to 50 mph times. my Prius seems to have a huge amount of pep at that speed range.

has anyone here offered to add a review to their list?

I just added my comments to their review, including mention of PriusChat for more info. I think their review was fair, but it missed some things we who drive them have learned. I like the long-distance speedo!

I also pointed out that there are some easy mods to make the car better. I wish I had mentioned changing the tires for a quieter, better ride.

I concluded my comments with "I have never met a Prius owner who just "liked" their car." and I think that's true. We ->LOVE<- our cars, weird quirks and all.[/font:63b850e1b8]

Good read, but they don't go into depth in what is probably the largest attribute, the fuel economy. They simply state the milage they got with no real mention on how different modes of driving (far from extreme) can easily take the average MPG into the high 50's.

Yet they seem to harp upon the stereo...

The review got it wrong about the warrenty.

CNET said "In addition to the car's three-year/36,000-mile warranty, the hybrid parts are covered for six years or 60,000 miles and three years of roadside assistance--appropriate for a hybrid, although Honda covers parts for eight years."

According to Toyota's web site: "Basic: 36 months/36,000 miles (all components other than normal wear and maintenance items).

Hybrid-Related Component Coverage: Prius' hybrid-related components, including the HV battery, battery control module, hybrid control module and inverter with converter, are covered for 8 years/100,000 miles. The HV battery may have longer coverage under emissions warranty. Refer to applicable Owner's Warranty Information booklet for details."
