    Greetings from Texas!

We drove home our new Prius 2010 II last night -- pearl white.
Thanks to the C.A.R.S. cash for clunkers! Traded in the 13 years old MVP Mazda with 147,000 miles. I wanted to get 200,000 miles but this was too good of a deal to pass by.
Hope to get 200,000 on our first Prius!

Looking forward to all of the help I will be getting from PriusChat.
My first posting, I hope I did it correctly.

I guess I should have said Blizzard Pearl. My wife likes it.

Welcome, and congratulations on the new Prius. In your area the color should be "ice storm pearl" instead of blizzard pearl.

I'll add to the noob posts. I have been looking at used Prius for the past year. Cash for Clunkers happened and I rushed to the dealership with my 1992 Isuzu Trooper. The Trooper was rated at a combined 15MPG but I rarely got better than 10MPG!!! My Prius is a level III, black with dark gray interior. I have owned it for 10 days. On the trip to the dealership 22 miles away it said that I got 77MPG!!! Driving slow and turning off the AC seems to be important to the mileage. Today the MPG said 99.9 for over 15 miles. Anyone know how the CONS. number is calculated? I am getting around 55MPG overall. Too bad it is my wife's everyday driver and not mine. :(

I just joined Priuschat too. I bought my 2004 on Thursday. I tried to get in on the Cash for Clunkers, but our spare car a 93 Bonneville (huge full size car) actually was rated at 20 mpg combined. I was shocked. I'm hoping they come out with a program for 19 and 20 mpg cars that only works if your new car gets 10 more mpg for the 4500. That would help us that just barely missed it.
