Hey everyone, this is my first thread on here. I have a new 2010 Prius and have a question or two about aftermaket stereo installation. Is there anyone on this site who has put a boom system into their Prius? I have done some research and have had many systems in many cars but none of them a hybrid. Don't want to void my battery warranty so anyone who has input on this please don't hesitate to post. If and when this is done I will post pics and specifics - thanks for reading.

    Welcome, Philly.

I'd say F8L is our resident stereo expert, though I don't know if he's done any 2010s yet. You might want to check out the "Gen II Prius Audio and Electronics" forum for some ideas.

Installing a sub and amp is just standard on any car. I just started my audio upgrade but in the process I have already installed my JL sub and amp. It was pretty straight forward. Acturally it was easier to get the power to the amp since the battery is in the trunk. check my threads if you would like to see my set up.

As far aftermarket stereo, I have not seen any kits out for our dash but I'm pretty sure it will be out soon. I am making a custom dash but I don't know how long it will take but will update...

    Good Luck...
