My husband and I plan on getting a Prius early next year after his current car is paid off and we get our tax rebate (March).

I know the exact model I want, the III model in Blue Ribbon Metallic in Bisque. (Misty Grey not available for this color , and I hear Ash doesn't look that great). With no dealer add-ons, just the factory car.

I know stock changes over time, and according to Toyota.com EVERY SINGLE dealership in my area has the same types of cars in stock, IIs or IVs with lots of extras I don't want in colors I hate.

How easy is it to get the exact model you want at a good price? Some of my local dealers are known for rather sly dealings with customers. I'm willing to drive a ways to get the car. (I live in Little Rock, AR)

Any advice would be helpful. My brain is going overboard with all sorts of scenarios of people trying to get me into a car that I don't want, or make me pay out the nose for the exact model I do want.

I really wish I could get a car in purple, pink or green. :p Blue will have to do.

oops, I think I posted this in the wrong place.
Should it go to the Dealers and Pricing area?

Shop by phone, email and fax. Contact as many dealers as you feel like. Tell them exactly what you want and tell them to send their best out-the-door price in writing. Then be prepared to pay a deposit and/or wait.

    (Surely green is available?)

You may want to save yourself the headache and postpone shopping until Feb (maybe January). Right now with the Cash for Clunkers, it is slim picking and I think it is a seller's market. If you wait, the pendulum may swing in your favor.
