I bought a tube of Blue Ribbon touch up paint and the 4 center caps and it came to about $90 with tax, from what I remember. As for the HIDs, I should be receiving my kit in the next couple days and I will let you know if it's an easy install. If it is, you could always do the install when you take your roadtrip out to warm Vancouver. :)
Icy Edmonton, glad I didn't move there. I was so close to taking a job there about 2 years ago. How different life would be...

Getting up early might be an issue, but you're decades away from worrying about stamina. Just grab your pack and go. OK, so I could barely walk the next day. Minor detail. ;)

jeez... touch-up is a lot more expensive than it used to be. I thought it was $11 the last time I checked (and formerly $10). This is the pen I'm talking about, not the bottle.

Well, then I'd have to send it home (or take it home with me in Sept... or next summer lol. No intentions of driving home during the winter).

Yes, how different life would be. I wanna come home!

I'm pretty sure the touch up paint pen was around $11 but once you add all that lovely tax it came to about $90 for everything. That paint pen sure is hard to use, there must be some trick to it I'm missing. It's got the Blue Ribbon on one end of the pen and clear coat on the other end.
Hyo, I'm one of those people that looks in shape but gets winded way easier than I should at my age. Maybe I should get off my ars and get some exercise before it all catches up to me! And yes, mornings are always a problem. It should be unlawful to get up before 8AM.

Maybe we should start a General Canadian Babble thread, not many owner's pics going on here. :D

Anyway, I am still trying to decipher the behavior attributes in this car but as soon as I have a set of "aha moments" I'll post the pics.

Speaking of touch up paint... I have to get a bottle as I already got a minor chip on the nose. I just hope they offer both options as I absolutely hate the pen based touch paint even if it includes the almost useless clear coat tip. :(

    Cheers;

Ugh.. I forget about PST lol. Use the paint side until the paint in the chip is level with the surrounding. Leave 15 mins btwn applications. Top it off with the clearcoat.

So far, I've never done it :D. I just apply it a few times then say screw it, and top it off with the clear coat and leave it at that.

ok then... less talk , more pics ppl!!! :mod: hahaha

Congrats! Didn't know you picked yours up already! Mine's coming in next week!

Remember the scratch on my bumber ?

I meet "the girl from Toyota" (Let me tell you that she does'nt look like the girl from Ipanema !)

    - 400$ for the repairs by Toyota ! (Sanding and complete repainting of the bumper) or
    - 90$ for a touch up and a lousy job !

I think I will choose the lousy job ! "The girl from Toyota" told me that the winter will be very bad for the bumper since it is so low !

$400?!?!? It was $600 for the Camry's rear bumper but that included a new bumper at $230... Guess the Prius' bumper work is just as expensive as a Camry. I'm surprised they couldn't wet sand and just concentrate on the affected area. Maybe it's because it's plastic?

Ouch, time to get out the black Sharpie marker! The "girl from Toyota" might be right about waiting until after winter. My dad did a number on his black Audi's front bumper after the snowstorm we had last year here in Vancouver.
I managed to scrape up the dark grey plastic under the front bumper last weekend. Tried to turn around on a steep driveway in Deep Cove and heard a nice long scraaaaape. Probably nobody else will notice it, but I know it's there. :(

uh oh... I hope the new one isn't lower (or the front wheel isn't further back from the front bumper) cause my driveway is extremely steep (I have no idea how they did it and so far I haven't heard anyone scratch their car as they come in or out). I will definitely be careful when I take her home but expect a posting if i do end up scratching it.

Here's the result of the magic hands of "The girl from Toyota"

As expected, it is quite a lousy job. 99$ for that is disapointing.

I also bought a touch-up pen for 13$. Next time I will do it myself. It can hardly be worst !

Very nice. I'm glad for you Tideland.

I remember getting close to my car with the "sold" sign on it was such a thrill !

What is "the monster" beside your car ? We only see the front wheel but it looks pretty large. Is it a model from Toyota ?

Did you get a clear bra installed?
If you did what was the price?

Nope. They range from $250-$450 at my dealership depending on how much of the hood you want covered. Kinda bummed that fogs weren't standard on the Tech Pack (granted, I was one of those that complained that the old fogs did nothing so I guess Toyota did save me money by not adding them lol).

errr.... it's a lifted Tacoma with a ridiculous front bumper (like those you'd find on FBI SUVs for ramming. Although I'm sure this one is for towing/pulling other SUVs out of ditches). Welcome to Alberta :p

It appears to be a line on your hood?
That why I thought it was a clear bra

Yeah... we call them potholes :p

Oh? which part of the hood? the part where the reflection of the building is?
