How are you guys keeping lint and dust off the shiny interior parts? My problem areas are the radio and the cupholders in the armrest. Is there some kind of anti-static cleaner that will fix this, or do I have to just keep wiping it down every 10 seconds like I do now?

I keep a microfiber cloth in the armrest and use it on the screen and shiny parts every couple of days.

It DO seem to collect quick don't it!! I use one of the Swifter hand held dusters, it fits easily in the glove box and picks up the dust/lint quickly...I often do it while waiting for my kids to get buckled up (God forbid I try to help them to speed up the process: ;-) :) or waiting in traffic. I'm still on the first one I put in the car about 6 months ago so a box ought to nearly last the life of the car!

I know of no prophylaxis for the dust other than a hermetically sealed garage! :ROFLMAO:

I keep a microfiber cloth in the armrest console also. It does a reasonable job on everything except the main screen, where those fingerprints seem to be pretty pesky. I use son-of-a-gun spray on the dash and side panels. That has helped immensely.

A Swiffer for dust, and driving gloves to prevent fingerprints. My girlfriend has been quite understanding about washing her hands after eating movie popcorn :_>

i suspect that the lint, besides coming from everyday stuff, comes in part from the nice fuzzy cloth interior...

Microfiber is da bomb. Cleans everything, Dash, Touch Screen, Upholstery, Windshield. Then wash it when needed and start over.

I agree with the microfiber cloth. I have a synthetic duster that I thought worked well for years in my Lotus. It now sits unused in the center console. I also carry a small amount of clean water in case there is something that won't come off with the dry microfiber cloth. A barely moist microfiber cloth has been able to take out everything I've done to the car so far :)

Ok after reading the post about cleaning the prius .i would like to post mine. I use ace it spray on polish,on the dash inside on the windows, outside on the paint ,on the windshield,on the tires.door jams.
it does not leave whitemarks on the rubber on the windshield or other parts. just spray on and wipe off with a microsolf cloth.

I use the Swifter duster with no chemicals. Fits nicely under the passenger seat. Ready for one of those traffic delays. Works great!
