BC/WA/OR/ID Meetup Sept 2009

    It's no longer a draft. We will be hosting our first ever Prius Meet!! Check back frequently for updates!

    When: Sunday, 27th September 2009. Time: 10am.

    Where (photo op): Queen Elizabeth (QE) Park. Tennis Court Parking Lot

    Where (food): Old Spaghetti Factory, Riverport.

    What: 1st PNW Prius Meet! (2nd if you counted the one from 2005)

    Who: You! If you're within reasonable driving range of the Lower Mainland, please join us!

    So it'll be an informal meet. We'll pick a spot to gather, we'll chat and exchange info on the Prius (e.g. mods you did or tips and techniques or just random stuff that we always do on PriusChat) and photo ops then we'll head out on a convoy for lunch.

    Hmmmm! Here in Oregon September 29 falls on a Tuesday, not on Sunday. I know we are slowing down a bit down here in the USA, but are you really TWO days ahead of us up there???
    A bit too far of a drive for us, but does sound like fun.

    Funny, I thought Vancouver was in Southern Canada. ;)

    Count me in, I think - I'm not sure of the day and/or date.

    Jericho's not a bad spot, either, though parking's not always easy to find.

    We could pre-order about 50 pizzas and just have a 'tailgate' party (or would that be called a 'hatchback happening'?) :)

    Well, not sure which Sunday in September you mean when you say the 29th... but Sunday's always a quiet day for me. I should be able to make it, put me down as a definite maybe? :) Hmm, who else on Priuschat lives in Vancouver?

    LOL.... hey whatever the group wants.

    umm... DaveG, Frank Hudon, benggolf, fotomickey, JRMurray, maledyris, Radon, Earman, Presto. Fibb222, Cassandra and Canuck are on the island.

    Not all of them are currently active. i'm sure there is more but that's all I can remember.

    I'd love to see the handling mods on Presto's car. A ride would be even better. :)

    I haven't seen Presto's car at all.

    If you want. I don't know how many of us are gonna show up lol. I'm tempted to put this in the main forum but I'm trying to get the other forums to become more active.

    Maybe you can PM a few of the Vancouver area members to see if they'd be in? I've been seeing a few 2010's around here lately, some of them have to be Priuschatters! :)

    I'm with you LRKing II. Here in Camas, WA, just across from Portland, OR, eveyone I have ever talked to would consider Idaho and Montana as a part of the Pacific Northwest.

    I love Canada, but until this thread, I didn't realize they were part of the Pacific Northwers (corner of the US that is).

    If it was just a drive and not a ferry ride for me to go anywhere, I'd definitely consider attending as I'm probably going to have my enginer.us phev kit installed by then and would love to show it off.

    Having grown up not far from where LRKing is now, I had understood the PNW to include Idaho and the western third of Montana, from a line formed by extending Idaho's eastern line north to Alberta.

    Most Seattlites seem to stick to the narrower two state view. Actually, many don't want to be associated with any part of WA east of the Cascades either.

    As for BC, it seems odd to exclude Pacific lands to the northwest of us from the Pacific Northwest.

    I am a 'No' for the meet on the current schedule. But if it is delayed two or weeks, my calendar opens up.

    Install date is tentatively the 15th but it might be a week later depending on shipping.

    A few months ago a one way trip with two adults was $72. Vic to Van.

    Yeah I'm a no.
