Driving back to work from lunch I saw a new prius with the dealer tags still on it, not having it's licsence plate yet. It already had body damage on it. Part of the damage was on it's back rear bumper and also by the back rear tire passager side. I would be so sad :( and depressed that there is already damage to in such a short time.

Happened to spouse's brand new when a taxi driver hit rear bumper (then paid about $900 cash to have it replaced because it also bent some rod underneath). After replaced bumper car looks new again. Silver 2005 PKG# 2

I had my "Flo" only about 2 months when someone dented the front bumper...Christmas Day...and no note left. Merry Christmas!

A friend traded in his Envoy for a more fuel efficient, oh something or another. A smaller car, I forget what it is.

Anyway, before he got his plates, before he made his first payment, before he had even washed it once, a guy on a cell phone rear-ended him.

    Oh he was ticked off!

Sadly, I can beat all those stories.

I got hit on the right side less than 10 minutes after picking up the car. Hadn't even put a dozen miles on the car. My wife didn't even get to see it before it was damaged ....

Still shaking my head on how I got hit on the right side when I was in the right lane ..

If that wasn't insulting enough, I got injured too.

At least I don't have to worry about getting that first ding out of the way ...

Getting hit in a new car sucks. I, too, was hit within two weeks of picking up the car. Luckily, there are some excellent Toyota-trained body folks out there. Our local Toyota-run body shop is top-notch!

I guess I'm a "me too". First week I owned my Prius, someone scraped the rear drivers door while it was parked. (no note) I was very upset, but the repair shop did an excellent job!

The missus backed our 3 week old Prius into a pole yesterday. Cracked the driver's sideview mirror. :cussing:
