Not tested extensively but iPhone 3GS paired fine and I can make and receive calls fine. Only grip, the voice dialing. The voice recognition in the 3GS is fantastic but I don't seem to be able to access it through bluetooth (I could from my aftermarket Bluetooth unit on my preceding car). Instead I have to use the Prius built-in recognition system and the instructions from the lady's voice drives me crazy. I just want to say "Dial home" and I have to listen to the voice giving me intructions on how to do it each time before I can say it! Is there a shortcut?

I just got a HTC Touch Pro2 for Verizon. Bluetooth pairs fine. Also, I paired it for BT audio streaming and can now skip forward or backwards with the steering wheel controls. :) The song details also show up on the screen. I did notice that my 8 gig class 2 microsd card was stuttering every 15 seconds or so. But my 8 gig class 6 microsd card works flawlessly.

I got my samsung alias 2 working. I haven't tried syncing the address book, but before the Verizon phones didn't seem to sync contacts.. so I'm not expecting much. HOWEVER, everyone I have talked to complains about the quality coming from my end. I have adjusted the bluetooth settings, even in the service diagnostic area. I haven't had any success, anyone else aware of this problem?

I have tried the following phones on my 2010 Prius III w/Nav with the following results:

    Motorola Razr v3a - OK
    LG env3 - OK
    Alltel Blackberry - OK
Casio Boulder GzOne - Connects but will not reconnect

The Casio is a new company phone issued when Verizon bought Alltel. After talking with Verizon and Casio tech support I am getting new LG VX5500 that is compatible with the Toyota Nav.

Yes, you can turn off the instructions. Turn off Voice Recognition Guidance in the Setup menu for Voice. Speeds it up a great deal, but you still need to wait for the beep!

I took possession of two Samsung Alias 2 phones today--pretty cool for a dumbphone. Too bad I don't also have the Prius yet. I'll be interested in how this works for you, and especially gotchas not stated in the report at toyota.letstalk.com. Thanks.

My Blackberry 9000 works fine, it auto synch (pairing) the first 2 weeks, all I have to do is select yes on my BB 9000, now I have to do it manually in the car radio and my BB 9000 everytime I got into the car, won't auto synch anymore, not sure why.

Omnia 1 worked well - does anybody tested Omnia 2 already?

    Hi there,

during my test ride some weeks ago I tested my current Omnia 1 over BT. It paired very well - MP3 streaming, phone calls (incoming/outgoing) and so fort went very well.

Since I plan to get Omnia 2 in 4-5months (still not avaible here in Europe) - I appreciate any informations from Omnia2-users about how well they work with P3 navigation system over BT. Did someone got any problems?

    Thanks - Midimal

When using MP3 streaming, are you able to browse through your albums, select tracks ect. from the NAV, og do you have to to this on your phone?

    Best regards
    Espen Rønning
(hoping to be able to control playback from then NAV)

    Hi Espen,

you mean using Omnia? Browsing trough albums (as I can remember) wasnt possible using Navis-Touchscreen. What was possible to select next track, stop, restart and so on.

Yes, thanks for your information. Your Omnia seems to do better than any of the phones I've tried (SE T850i, SE W595, Nokia 6220 and HTC TyTN II) they are only capable of pause/resuming playback from the Nav.

An old Samsung SCH-i730 using Windows Mobile. Connects and works just fine. I did have to send Contacts one at a time from the phone to the BT radio :-(
