That really looks nice & clean! Is there "rubbing" around the wheel wells with your SP10 offset at +40mm?

Very nice but i hate to tell you this but they put the tape weights in the wrong spot. They belong in the inside (center)of the rim.

I haven't gotten around with them enough yet but I will report back if so. They are actually +42mm though.

Yea I know, and other weights were simply just loose. Very shoddy service from Tire Rack which is a surprise to me.

    Very nice!

I've been away from PC for a little while and maybe out of the loop...where did you get the mud flaps from? (Part # and $ would be great)

    Thanks.

We need to start a Motegi SP10 owners club!

Okay, so how many of us have these wheels so far? I count 4?

Congrats on the wheels by the way!

I just went to put more air in the tires & had a guy with a Lexus asking if the rims were stock. He said "very nice" as I was pulling out. I guess we chose well!

Just finished with the Zaino Z2. Not a pro at taking pics but this is the "view" off of a side view mirror's cover.

So far so good. Obviously there is more road noise compared to the stock 15's but they ride pretty well. I didn't get the new version of the tires since they are XL load rated & I wanted to softer ride.

    Just an update...

Have about 1k miles on the tires and they are a bit nosier than I would have liked but I have a feeling that is largely due to the Prius being pretty wimpy through the doors and the such. I am probably going to be ordering some sound proofing material to add to the doors and the floor real soon.

My last tank, I got 47.32 mpg with the new combo. This is only a drop of approximately 3-4 mpg, though this has also included some cooler weather as well as having more people in the car with me. Long story short, I doubt it's much more than a 1-2mpg hit in reality & well worth the better handling as well as potentially much better light snow traction.

That's a pretty precise number. The 215/45R17 are smaller than the stock 195/65R15's on your Prius IV, so how are you compensating for the new tire dimensions?

They are as close of a match as possible, which is why the Prius V has the same size 17's.

Stock Ecopias: 25" Diameter, 833 RPM
    Continentals: 24.6" Diameter, 839 RPM

It depends on the tires. My stock 17 inch Michelins runs at 844 revs/mile, which would be almost twice the delta as your Continentals. Of course the numbers are just nominal numbers that may vary from lot to lot. But other than pick tires with close revs/mile (at least when new), there is nothing to do. I'm curious because I have the same issue when downsizing to 15 inch for winter tires -- 185/65R15's, as used on the Gen II, would be a closer dimensional match.

Looking at the various tire specs, it looks like 225/45R17's would be a better dimensional match to the stock 15 inch tires, but I'm not sure the wheel well is large enough.

In any event, I don't understand the purpose of reporting MPG to 1/100 of a MPG when your accuracy is more like 1/2 MPG (assuming it was accurate with the original tires).

Just simply cause I did miles divided by gallons of gas, which goes to two digits. Not really a big deal man.
