    Lee,

Possibly, if you can wait a bit. It would take me about a couple months to spin a board right now. I've got too many irons in the fire right now (+tax time approaching).

I've been working on a couple things relating to this mod:
1.) a pass-through wire harness using factory connectors so you wouldn't have to cut and splice into the dome light circuit. It would be similar to the JDM lighting unit.
2.) I've been talking with Cyron about modifing their controller for automotive use. I took apart their controller to do this mod (wire routing) and concluded it would be very easy for them to add the necessary components so you wouldn't need any additional hardware. It becomes much simpler than what I built. If I can convince them there would be a decent market for it they will likely produce it.

Wow! that would be great. Keep us posted as this is one Mod that makes a big difference in the driving environment. When I first saw the Cyron kits in Costco, I knew something really cool could be achieved with the Prius, and you have done it well. Thanks!

Only if the doors are open! If it's really dark, you'll see some residual glow through the windows, but its an indirect reflected light.

This thread needs a bump, too cool to be buried.
Wow, it was 1.5 yr ago we did this mod.
The lighting is still going strong with zero problem.

Indeed. Mine is still working flawlessly and it's the hand-wired prototype version! I made a layout with a PCB and am overdue to finish the install in one of my friend's Prius.

Where do you buy another cheap Cyron unit?
Costco no longer sell this, it was $50
amazon sells it now for $120

I've been buying them in bulk as piece parts directly from Cyron. If you are interested, PM me - I have plenty of the light bars and controllers.
