Can someone recommend a wax product, or compound that I can use to buff this scratch out? It appears to be very faint, visible on my silver millenium paint in dim light, but when running my finger across it I can feel it. Would this be something that might need a paint job? I know it's hard to tell w/o seeing it, but I'm just talking a typical scratch that's just noticeable and feelable, thanks.

Like an idiot I very lightly used a scotchbright pad to remove some tenacious bird droppings. Yup, it scratched the clearcoat (millenium silver). My dealer sold me an 11 oz can of "#7 Clearcoat Polishing Compound" for $2.50. If the scratches aren't too deep this will do the trick. The product is made by Cycle Industries, but it looks like the old Dupont rubbing and polishing compound products - probably available at most Kragen's, Grand Auto, Pep Boys, etc.

yep miniracer has a good solution. if the scratch is not to metal, get some super fine rubbing compound. it will take all of 10 seconds to remove all trace of the scratch.
