    No, I didn't, you can only start reserving at the beginning of February. Time to go put that entry up on my calendar...

    I agree, this ballpark/tailgating might have to wait. We need to find something simpler, with only 2 weeks away. I do like the idea of spreading knowledge around, and eating... :lol:

    For those not in the know, the first meeting was, "let's meet in this parking lot, we have a few options around." Once meeting in the parking lot, and standing around for 5 minutes in January (it was actually a nicer January day, you know, which means mid-40s or so) the idea was, "let's go find the closest place that's warm to sit."

    If we're talking about a restaurant, one of my fun ideas would be to meet somewhere, then all caravan to a restaurant that had valet parking, and watch them try to learn the car for some laughs, but I'm not sure I want to do that with my car... :evil:

    So any other ideas of places to go and meet and enjoy ourselves.

    Alright. It came to me in a dream.

    The Streets of Woodfield.
    This is a great location, easily accessible. Refer to this picture:

    to see that there is a Chipoltle (#18) and Starbucks (#22) in the middle 'island' facing the highway. In order to all park together, we're probably going to have to park a bit away from the buildings. But if try to park in the area of a straight line extended from numbers 18 and 22 into the parking lot, we should pretty easily find each other.

    The only thing that remains is the time.
    I usually default to early afternoon. And since there's a Chipoltle, perhaps we can step in for a burrito at around 12:30.

    I think it sounds good.

    I maybe might have an idea of a contribution that we all could make as a collaborative effort to PriusChat. I have thought about doing it myself, but I think more would be better. Sitting around in Chipotle/Starbucks may be a good time to get it done.

    I am very likely to attend. My commitment to a graduating 8th grader does not begin until later in the afternoon.

    Can anyone recommend a touchless car wash nearby? Mobil stations are fine with me. I suppose I could just ask my car, but it doesn't list gas stations with car washes separately from those without.

    Jim, you have given me a great idea. I was thinking of washing Priapus prior to bringing him down, but what if we met somewhere at, say, 11:00 to group-wash our cars. Though I don't like the touchless because I don't feel that they do a really good job.

    I use the spray ones and a hand sponge. I know that they don't like when you stop to wash, but with my wife and I, one sprays while the other sponges.

    I called Schaumberg Toyota and the kind woman told me that there's carwash at the corner of Golf Rd and Roselle Rd. It might be difficult to coordinate arrival times at a place like a carwash, but I can be at the Streets of Woodfield at 11:00 and we can drive over, wash our cars, and then head back.

    Are you game?

    Last time I said I was game, somebody shot me. <j/k>

    My physical labor on cleaning the car is limited to wiping the drips after I wash it at Mobil. I will see you(se) at Streets of Woodfield around 12:30.

    I'd also like to mention my thread on the Treo 650 discount (in Audio and Electronics) through Saturday, online and at Office Max.

    If anyone gets an Office Max craving in Schaumburg, my Prius says they are at 1450 E. Golf Rd.

    Would love to come but hubby took MY Prius for a weekend trip. I don't know why he wanted MY car for a trip to Buffalo NY instead of the '91 Buick. But that's how the cookie crumbled. I console myself by thinking about all the gas he is saving. Hope we can make the next one. I would love to see a line of these incredible cars all sitting cozy together. Make sure you get some pics!
