After much perusing on this forum I decided to add a subwoofer and the ipod kit to my JBL system with NAV.

    Here's what I ordered:
Kenwood KSC-SW1 Compact Dual 6.5" WooX Drive Technology Powered Subwoofer - $166.95
PAC AUX-POD Universal iPod Adaptor for Factory Receivers - $138.95
PAC ABTOY Aux Input Adaptor Cable for Aux2Car and iPod2Car - $11.95

I want to compliment all the helpful people here that gave me the confidence to do the mod, as well as the folks at audioallies.com where I placed the order. When I call them to check why I received 2 email confirmations (turns out to be 2 cc authorizations), the owner (his name is Terry) came on the phone and actually told me he had a few people return the auxpod because it simply did not work. I was pleasntly surprised by the candidness and told him that I did some homework and will take my chances. He then told me about their 30-days gurantee, which is standard but refreshing to hear from him. Not all vendors will try to weasel out of their end of the transaction.

Hopefully I can post my installatin success story later.

    hey slippery toast,

just fyi, it is always risky (as you probably know) to do internet business w/online electronics sites as most of them are not authorized dealers and thus the product itself, beyond the 30 day return policy of good faith, may not be covered under any actual 1-2 yr manufacturer warranty.

I got lucky for a couple years of doing this sort of transactions but now decide to pay a slight premium in order to ensure any online sites are authorized and under warranty.
