Got nailed today by a lady who pulled out in front of me.. Luckily both of us are okay.. Pic is attached although it doesn't do it Justice. The wheel is bent in at about a 20 degree angle. My passenger door is bent and the door has been pushed back. The only liquid I saw leaking was water. I'm a little worried about the tire being bent in, hope it didn't damage the breaking system, I imagine being regenerative it's not easy to work on.

Wish me luck, airbags didn't deploy so I think it's highly unlikely it's totaled. 2007, pkg 2 with 55,000 miles.

    Hi Greg,
what a bummer! We can understand how you feel at this time. Last June our "08 was totalled by a guy running a red light, unlicenced and undocumented in the US. Since we were over 1500 miles from home you can imagine the problems which resulted.
Anyway I'm sure things will work out in your favour.
Good luck and all the best
    Gary

Sorry to hear about accident. I guess it is not fault, so other insurance company will take care of it.

Based on photo, it seem front structure which is welded to main chasis is broken(see bottom of the photo). If that is the case it could be major frame repair. Make sure repairs are done properly, or you could potentially face other problem with tracking, uneven tirewear etc.

So sorry to hear about the wreck. :tsk:

Glad that your okay and that it wasn't worse than it is. Hopefully the "after" pictures will look just as good as the "before" pictures. You know, as compared to the "right now" pictures.

Sorry from here too. Had a lady in a ML500 forget to check for people coming around the corner from behind as she pulled out impatiently looking for cars coming from the other direction making a left turn today. I could have evaded, but was not sure what the traffic behind me, also making the turn, was up to. As I had to concetrate on the erant ML500. So, I just layed on the horn and went to full brakes. She was 3/4 s the way out into the lane before she turned and look at me, as she saw the cars from behind me come around and go in front of her. Where did that blue PT Cruiser come from - OH!

You have a system that breaks your car? Hmmm...

Anyway, glad you're OK. Looks like it should be repairable.

Got the estimate back, $7800.00.. Glad I don't have to pay, I wonder if they will total it.

The regenerative part of the braking system all takes place inside the transmission. The conventional brakes are, well, conventional! So they're not a big issue.

    Saddly,
from the looks of that wheel, it might be gone = (
but I just have to point out that the little window didn't
even crack! Now thats what I call safety.
