For all you up in early snowland (Canada, the Rockies, etc.), any reports of problems with the traction control system on snow/ice, especially going up hills? Heard about it on Gen II, and wondering if they've fixed it.

I put burn holes in my brand new seats. I park my fat keister in them and now they look shabby! Oh well, I'm going to snag some zebra seat covers so I can ash up some "herb" roaches on the seat. DY-NO-MITE!
This is a Prius problem? Please spare us from your personal habits. This type of input better fits your facebook page...
Given the thread on discharge of the 12 volt battery in 10+ days, I'd include that as a problem Toyota's engineers ought to pay attention to.
As a preventive maintenance freak, I often check the oil. I thought I wasn't doing something right in sliding the dipstick back because it required a stronger push, and it felt like I was galling the dipstick tube. Today, when I encountered the same resistance, I examined the dipstick end. It had a rough unfinished taper to it. Wiping my finger over it got a silver tarnish to my finger. Clearly there HAD been galling. Anyway, I put the dipstick under the buffing wheel, and now it slides down just pretty slick. This is an easy fix that, if true to all the 2010"s, should be cured.
Thanks, kgall, for bringing this up. I have read the thread entitled http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...-will-park-lax-13-days-dead-battery-sure.html (that is probably the one you are refering to). It appears there is some debate as to whether this is actually a problem, though (unless you can convince me otherwise). I prefer not adding it to the list until it is settled.
Thanks to you too CivicQc. The thread you cite was one that I looked at. But I was a bit more bothered by the following thread: 2010 II 12 Volt Battery Dead After 17 Days of Parking ( 1 2 3 ... Last Page) [email protected] (I'm not sure if the link will work, but it's on the first few pages of the list of Gen III main forum threads, and you can go to it there)
Hi Guys, Subject: Inside Cabin overhead lights. I have found another annoying problem. In previous generation you could actually tell when the cabin overhead lights were turned on when you turned off your car. Now, there is no way in knowing if you left the interior light ON when you leave. You have to wait for the main headlights to go off or wait for the timer to turn off light cabin overhead lights to see if you left it on. Its annoying.. Before you could notice it by the difference in brightness. I have Prius V white pearl. Any input?
Subject: Inside Cabin overhead lights. I'm also having an issue, all of a sudden, with the interior overhead light. It's set on "door" and had been working beautifully.... came on when I got close to the car, stayed on when I opened it and went off on cue when I shut the door. The other night I needed the light on while I was in the car(at the drive-in) so I toggled it to "on" and then back to "door" when I was done. Now it won't come on. When I approach the car, nothing. When I open the door, nothing. It's still set on "door" and will come on if I toggle the switch to "on", but won't work at all in the "door" position anymore. Any ideas? Thanks, Tracy Update: I found out there's a toggle switch controlling all the interior lights right above the Safety Connect button. It was in the off position. Switched it on and Wha-Lah! I'm glad it was even simpler than I thought it might be.
Make sure you didn't leave it in the OFF position by mistake, flip the switch back and forth a few times to make sure the contacts are closing properly. That's about all you can do, if that doesn't fix it take it to the dealer. It's a fairly simple problem so they should be able to fix it with no problems.
Another problem that has been reported by several Gen III Prius owners in the audio/electronics forum: Weak FM radio reception http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...07-weak-fm-radio-reception-in-2010-prius.html
blisspacket, Thanks for the info. If you can find (or start) a thread that describes the problem, and that shows that other people have experienced the problem too, etc. (see the rules in post #2), post the information on this thread then I will add it to the list.
Momentary loss of braking power when navigating over a bumpy surface of pot hole Gen 3, 2010 Prius Build Date May 2009
I have a Black Prius 5 (just took delivery) and noticed that the bumpers are not the same color as the rest of the car. Today is the first time I've washed it and just noticed this. I didn't notice this listed - anyone else have this issue?
I had the same experence as several others with momentary loss of braking on a rough road yesterday. It seems that it(rough road) cancels regenertive braking action. It surprises you when it happens.
im glad im not the only one having this problem. Whenever i go on bumpy road or bumps while im slowing down, the car seems like its accelerating or the engine is kicking in. I get alittle scared that if i dont brake hard, im going to hit the car in front of me.
