Is the dealer the best place to get a prius serviced, or does anyone have a recommendation for Virginia (preferably western Fairfax or Loudoun counties).

I've taken mine to Jiffylube once. They didn't know how to start or drive the car, so now I just take it to the dealer for peace of mind. I use Springfield Toyota, but that would be a bit of a drive for you.

Ourisman Chantilly has done well for me. They're about 1.5 miles west of the 28/50 interchange. They handled my wife's highway-speed shutdown well. Hope you are immune to that...

I had first oil change at Miller's Toyota in Manassas on Route 235, where I bought the car. Very good service. I recommend staying with a dealer since the car is so new and different. Even at a dealer, check your oil dip stick to ensure they don't put 4 quarts in it. Ther must be a dealer in the Sterling/Leesburg area.

[font=Lucida Console:40e0c4dee8]I have also been pleased with the service at Ourisman Chantilly Toyota - they seem to know the model and at least one of their technicians alluded to having been to training on the Prius - having to do with factory recommended tire pressures. They also efficiently ordered and installed a new rear hatch - the original was so tight that one really had to slam the hatch to keep it from activating the \"open\" sensor.[/font:40e0c4dee8]
