    Just a curiosity question. I've noticed some of you guys in the States don't have number plates yet when you first purchase a new car, instead you have a Toyota dealership number plate. What's that all about? Are you waiting on number plates, or even personalised plates?

    We're just waiting on regular plates. It takes within 6 months (yes, that's the estimated time) in California to get one apparently. We get a registration strip placed in front of the car that indicates that the car's registered which is good for 6 months.

    in il you can get your plates instantly. i like that since you don't stick out with a paper plate.

    Hi there. Where did you get your mud guards and the chrome strip on the bottom of the doors? I have been looking for that for a long time and really would like to get that.. :)

    I took these two shots right after we purchased our new Prius in late August.

    We made a 120 mile round trip drive last night.
    The car sat and cooled down for several hours at the 60 mile point.
    The display said 60.2 mpg with 42 mph avg speed when I got home.
    Love the car!

    On another note, my fave is the first one--did you notice how all the cars in that pic are ALL Toyotas? (There's a RAV4 and a Corolla in the background).

    Hi all. Ordered my first Prius back in mid August and have been searching this site and other locations for a picture of the car in the colour I ordered. The car is UK spec T-Spirit and the children chose 'Orion Blue'. Luckily I was in agreement as I wanted the lighter interior colour and seats. Since placing the order I have been unable to find a pic of a car in this colour. Well I picked up the car from the dealer on Thursday 28th and she is a beauty. So here are some 'Orion Blue' pics for anyone else waiting for a similar car. My biggest disappointment is the ipod kit! Otherwise the car drives great and is very comfortable.
