It's funny you mention the youthful look, because a lot of people who do work on their cars to look like something out of F&F preferred the original Xb. Why? It had actual JDM street cred - it was the bb in Japan ([ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_bB"]Toyota bB - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]). The new Xb is not based on the bB (according to wikipedia)

I'm only 22, born in 1986, and I already bought my own Prius over 3 months ago now. The total was $21.7k, and I put $10k down. And I don't even have a (real) job yet. After I recently earned my B.S., I went straight to grad school, where I am now working on my PhD. Most young people are just totally irresponsible. They couldn't keep a buck in their savings to save their life.

I think Generation Y will love cars like the Prius very much. Cheap to own (including gas :D), and tons of cool gadgets, which just add to our very tech lifestyle.

I'm 22 and own a 2010 Prius. The bulk of it was a gift from my grandmother but the rest is out of my pocket--though I agree, I don't know anyone else my age who would be able to afford one on their own (myself included).
