$65 for oil change? am I being ripped off?

my dealership charged me 30 bucks for the 1st synthetic change and to rotate tires as well as visual inspection. also gave me a couple of discount coupons. i would not care if they had charged me 65 dollars, its still worth it to me for them to do the labor and properly get rid of the old oil. as long as im doing what the manufacturer recommends on the vehicle they designed and built im happy enough and so is my warranty. i only use beaman toyota for all my car's needs. they know what they are doing and they back up their work with no guff.

I know, and also think the same thing. I remember, however, the troubles Toyota has had with engine sludge in the past, which is probably something they want to avoid again. So, they're just playing it safe at the moment until they can be absolutely sure that 10,000 mile oil changes does not, in any way, shape or form, present a liability for them.

 

I get free oil changes and inspections for life and 19.95 for rotation. It seems in the Balto area there are several dealers that offer free lifetime oil changes. Of course, the first time they put in 5W30 oil and said Toyota told them to. But to their credit, they immediately changed to 0W20 when I questioned them and used it again last Saturday.
