      Looking back over the post, it's kind of funny. I thanked the poster because they took the time to post an excerpt from the owner's manual. But the owner's manual clearly states blended gas is not recommended but "allowed". Evidentially the poster misunderstood the manual. Thanks for calling my attention to this. I don't think I'd put any kind of blend in my tank anyway...

      FYI, You thanked another thread RE: Fuel, where they stated that you CAN use blended fuels. If you read the actual text in what he posted, toyota DOES NOT recommend this in the Prius. I am only letting you know directly as you thanked him, and I did not want you to think that you could...

      This does not mean the 10% Ethanol blend that many gas stations sell, that is fine. Instead, it specifically means that you CANNOT use e-85 fuel. I just wanted to ensure that you saw that.
