I recently bought my Prius and said YES to the Toyota Platinum warranty (7yrs/100,000 mi). I have never gotten an extended warranty before and I certainly wouldn't have paid the $2,500 for it except that I was assured that if I didn't use it, my entire $2,500 would be returned to me when the warranty was expired. I still have a few days to decide if I am going to keep it and was wondering if anybody else has heard of this "too good to be true" warranty. It's a ton of extra money and it sounds like I could get a better price if I shopped around but the complete money back guarantee is what is really bugging me.
