TRM-JWAP. I am close to finish recording my battery. I need one module more. Where can I buy one from you for my Toyota Prius 2007?

Next question is about the CQ3 battery chargers.
I have it running on 4 cycles,
When I ran it on one cycle I couldn't see where it had the min and max capacity figures, I could only get the one figure from the 'END' screen. How you see what the min and max capacity reached are? Does the charger record those? I assume it does but I couldn't find it anywhere and managed to lose the 'END' screen.

      Hello Sir,

You helped me find a buyer for my Cat a while back, many thanks for that. I have a couple of questions for you.

I have just bought a gen 3 prius. Are the cats worth money on those? Do the aftermarket ones work well on them? I am thinking about stealing my own and replacing with aftermarket.

Jim, are you still selling battery modules?

Can you help me find an inexpensive cat converter (theft) for my gen 2? I've tried searching hereto ID a low cost CC, but reviews on Amazon, Ebay of cheap ones saying they don't work well. I'm hoping some priuschat members can recommend a good one/s. We're in VA, no restrictions for OEM, etc. Thanks for any help!

      Hi Jim,
I tried to start a conversation, but same as last January, no conversations still seem on the fritz on this forum. So I sent you a text with a picture of a Techstream health check result on my 2009 Prius. Hoping you might be able to help me begin the troubleshooting process? Thanks much,
      Paul

Hi TMR-JWAP, I accidentally broke apart two sensor clips on the underside of my modules. Do you have any replacements available for sale? Thank you

Hi i read somewhere that you have modules you are selling and i believe my Gen 2 prius battery is due for some module replacements. Is balance charging an absolute necessity when replacing these? And can that be done with a simple hobby charger? I also see you have complete packs but Im in Colorado and i assume those are expensive to ship anywhere huh? Anyway, Thanks in advance for all you help and usefull knowledge!

Hi TMR-JWAP, just wanted to ask you about the gen4 battery modules into gen2 Prius. Were you able to confirm a performance increase going to the gen4 cells? What I had heard was that it decreased your 0-60 time by 2 seconds?

So, you said you might be able to help me with replacement modules that should work pretty well with the rest of the new OEM modules.

What do you recommend and have available? I just need the two to replace what I broke.

I tried to pm you to discuss, but it said in not allowed.

II have a handful of complete Gen 3 battery packs that test between 6200-7000 mah, but they are complete sets. I do have 2 modules remaining from a battery I bought from a 21k mile 2015 prius wreck. One tested at 6604 and the other at 6626. Those serial numbers are 097PHP05370K B4 and 5384K B4. That's a manufacture date of 7/09/2014. I have dozens that have tested at 7000 and better, but are anywhere from 2004-2010.

Some people shy away from older modules, but my personal 2007 has a battery built from modules date coded 2003. They were some of the first Gen 2 modules ever made and the battery is an absolute beast.

I could put in 2 old modules, install it, and run Dr Prius to evaluate the state of charge, etc. of the new modules, if that gives a better match. Or, how about the 2 x 2015 that you cite above? How could we make that transaction?

HOWDY! So I've been power cycling a pile of gen 3 modules, ones we talked about before. Turns out the Gen3 modules were fine, it was a fuel injector problem and the traction battery was fruitlessly spinning the ICE making me "think" the traction battery was shot. Anyway, I'm using an 80W hobby charger, firmly clamp them,

discharging to 6v then back to whatever the charger considers full in three cycles, then recording the Mah displayed. Most of them settle in between 6500 and 6900 Mah at (give or take) 9 volts. A couple of them settled in at just shy of 8000? whats up with that? how do I place those in the pack?

BTW you were absolutely right, the Gen3 car runs just fine on gen2 modules. even Dr. prius thinks the battery has 89% life remaining.

hello there. I saw a posting about mixing gen 2 and Gen 3 cells. My 2011 US model HV battery is pretty well toast according to Dr. Prius, but I have a pile of cells froma gen 2 that have sat 6 months and read 7.55-7.6 volts I wanted to give them a try. did you have any luck testing a mix of generations?

Hey Jim this isn’t John Garren. You did a battery and seat and transmission fluid change for me in Atlanta. I’ve been trying to contact you by phone but never heard back. Just wondering if you got a new phone number? Looking for advice on my Prius as far as selling if. I got myself a 2012.
