yep. check the fuses first, 2nd possible both bulbs are bad. other than that, you'll need a meter to check voltage and ground at the sockets. switch itself could be bad. need a meter to check that too.
It sometime working just fine. So if fuse blown then it will never be working. Can you tell where them fuses are? Under steering or hood? Thanks Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
It appears that the headlight fuses are underhood. Further, it appears that there are four fuses numbered and specified as follows: 26 RH low beam (10A fuse for halogen and 15A for HID) 27 LH low beam (10A for halogen and 15A for HID) 28 RH high beam (10A) 29 LH high beam (10A) See: Toyota Prius (XW20; 2004 - 2007) - fuse box diagram - Auto Genius PS I have no information on the configuration used in Cambodia. Your Gen2 may vary from pics and linked info as it was apparently placed in service outside of North America. Also see pic from above link.
For intermittent problems, check the headlight stalk (switch) and wiring harness connection at the steering wheel and replace as necessary.
Down below is a link to an older Priuschat thread where that poster had a similar problem as your problem. That poster solved the problem by converting from HID bulbs to LED bulbs. Food for thought. I have halogen bulbs in my Gen2 (and therefore have no real life experience with the Gen2 HID system). Let us know how you make out. Link: HID to LED conversion | PriusChat

Hello I have a 2009 Toyota Prius hybrid when I first got it the screen on the display was cracks so I tried to replace the plastic part but that didn’t work so I just got a whole new display off of eBay after I installed it my dash lights and the display started acting up some days neither would come on or some days only the dash would come on but if I cut the car on and come back they both would be off I tried replacing the fuse still didn’t work do anyone know what it could be
