'05 Prius Question

    Hi. So my father and I are currently replacing the rear axle assembly. When we were taking off the old axle, a wire/cable broke in half. We're both unsure of what the wire is for. It plugs into the center back of the wheel hub assembly. I've circle were the wire plugs into in the pic. Sorry if this is a dumb question and thanks in advanced for any help.

    That's for the ABS wheel speed sensor.

    Thank you! That's what we were thinking, but we wanted to make sure. We weren't sure if it had to do with the regenerative braking or not.

    It sort of related, in that the hybrid control ecu will often disable regenerative braking if the ABS ecu has certain fault codes present.
