05 prius with 06 radio CD player

hi:

I am new here, I have a a question and wondering if anyone can help. I have a 05 prius (I bought it used) and I want to play mp3 CD that I burned in my prius. but my car's CD player cannot play mp3 files. anyway, I finally bought the 06 prius CD player and install it in my 05 prius and now I can play mp3 files in my car. However, the display console cannot display the file name and folder. Is there anyone know what else I need to do to fix this problem? Do I need to replace the 06 prius display console also? Thanks for all your help.
