07 prius combination meter red flags

So I am a new prius owner. I bought a 2007 from a used dealer two days ago and today when driving I noticed that the dash, backup camera, and ignition button were no longer working suddenly. I have concluded it is due to the combination meter and the dealer is going to fix it for free but what my main concern and reasoning for posting this was to see if anybody with more history with this generation of car can tell me if issues with the combination meter is a red flag or indicator of larger issues with the car or is it par for the course with this particular generation of prius? Any info on that from someone who had similar issues with it would be greatly appreciated!!
