image.png Right now I'm in the market for a Prius C.

I can only afford used at this moment. I am looking at this 2012 Prius C for $11,500 that has 40,000 miles on it. It has a clean title.

What should I be looking at to buy used? Any questions I should ask the seller? He is on Craigslist.

How does this car compared to a 2013 Toyota Corolla?

Looks like you are paying the market price however, these cars will continue to have significant decrease in prices.

Case in point: when I looked yesterday what a car was worth when I was about to purchase it, it was valued at $17,xxx. Edmunds.

I purchased it for $14,998 from the dealer.

Today, I just happened to look at what my new (to me) car was valued at, it dropped to $16,000, after 1 day.

Over a $1,000 decrease from yesterday to today.

I assume from what ever figures of past recent sales was used to get the value of cars was updated today.

These type of cars are tied to gas prices. The lower you gas prices are in your region, the lower the price of any EV or hybrid vehicle.

This is what I have learned from my research.
