    hi all ,

My car is sitting idle for 2 years. I chare battery for every 10 days as it goes to 0 and car wont start.
I want to know is there a way to extend it?

Does this battery is out of water? how do i maintain the battery?

I am looking for tips. Can i pour some water via its drain?

Also is there a 12V battery switch that i can switch off when car is idle for days? will it save battery extend for few more days?

    Let me know

    Thanks much

are there cell covers you can pry off?

you would have to install a switch, or remove the neg cable

The main thing would be to pry off caps, if it's not a sealed battery, and to fill with distilled water.

Any other "fix" I would be suspicious of.

If it doesn't have caps or filling with distilled water doesn't solve the problem, I'm afraid it's time for a new battery.

check it every 5 days to see if it holds any charge for 5 days. going to 0 after 10 days is not a good sign of the battery or car or both.
