12V battery still testing good on 2012 Prius C

    My 2012 Prius C has 60,500 miles on it-- it just had its 60k inspection.
    I'm the original owner & the 12V battery date is 11/2012-- the original battery.

    The 12V battery results from yesterday:
    Tested 12V battery with loads on. After one minute, it drains to 11.5Volts.
    12V battery is in good condition.

    My question is: should I replace the 12V battery? It's 11 years old & even though it's still strong, am I taking a risk by not replacing it now?

    Time to replace it.

    Sure it still works as long as nobody leaves a door ajar all weekend in the garage or something like that. That would completely kill an old one like that.

    You’re living on borrowed time. Either replace it now, or buy a small jump box for when it quits on you, so you don’t get stranded

    good point.. thanks for the response. I'll get the battery replaced asap

    thank you for this… I’m definitely going to replace it
