$177 headlight bulb?

    My friend has a 2008 Prius and I have a 2005 Prius. My headlight bulb was $4.25 plus tax (standard halogen bulb). His was $177.00 (HID) bulb.

    Is this true?

    If it is, can he do anything to put the cheaper bulb into his 2008?
