I have a gen 3 2011 prius. it came with 195s, but I have leftover 185/65/r15 snows from my old gen 2 prius. Any reason not use the 185s?

Your speedometer reading will be slightly off. Google 195/65 r15 vs 185/65R 15 and several sites will reveal the difference in size and speedometer reading.

What's the tread depth remaining on the snow tires, and how many years back did you buy them? If it's toss up, I would let go, get the proper size, new snows . Actually, I would get the right size period, but that's me.

Check the load rating on the tire sidewall. Compare the smaller snow tire rating to the stock tires. If it's very close there is no problem. The difference in diameter is very small.
