1st oil change

    Sorry I can't seem to find the answer.
    How many mile's until the 1st oil change.
    I know it's 10K after the first, but I cant seem to see the recommended milage to the first one.

    I believe that Toyota says 10K until the first oil change, but there has been ample discussion here on PC about many people's viewpoint that the first oil change should be much sooner than that. Personally, I did the first one about 1500 miles, one at 5,000 miles, and now I'm on the 10K interval. I wanted to get the metal flakes and crud from the manufacturing process out of the engine. This may be an old-fashioned view, but for $50-60, it is cheap insurance, IMO
