2001 Prius software patch?

    I have a 2001 Prius with the OEM CD player.

    As the CD player for this year was basically an afterthought, the onscreen controls for the CD Player look like they are just the cassette controls. You can fast forward and reverse, and that's it. There is no 'next track' or 'previous track' options.

    Does anyone know if there is a software patch that updates this to the bare minimum of CD controls?

    On the 2004 Prius, you can use the seek buttons (to the right of the volume dial) to do next track or previous track. I personally like that they didn't waste screen real estate duplicating that control. Not sure about the 2001 though.

    I tried this, and it works. Woo!

    Now I'm just wondering why they didn't put that in the manual. :blink:
