so I was bringing up some emission codes and took it in! they replaced the charcoal canister and 2 valves that came off the canister and it passed emissions $700.00 dollars later! its 01 and has 182k on it but is still getting 49mpg so I figured it was worth the money to fix it. only owned it a couple weeks but I love it...;)

Congrats! I also purchased my '01 expecting to have to put some money in it. I love this car so much that I'm not sure if I'll be able to know when the repair costs are not worth it.

Be carefull to not over fill the gas tank ... that's the most common cause of charcoal canister issues. Your Prius should give you tons of happy miles.
