Hello everyone! I've got a concern with my 2001 Prius. Every once in a while I have to refill the coolant reservoir for the hybrid system but it leaks so little I can't find any leaks under the car or anywhere else except for this one coolant junction that looks a bit pink.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, I'm not sure if the inverter pump was ever replaced on this vehicle as I only bought it recently (it's over 202k miles and a salvage title) please let me know if anyone else has had to deal with this! Thank you.

Attached is a picture of my engine bay and the pink coolant hose.

I'd put a hose clamp right above the pink spot (although Toyota apparently didn't see the need; my 2002 has no clamp there). That's an awkward spot to reach, too.

IIRC, that coolant preheats the fuel, which is not something I really need here in TX. So, when I had an issue with it leaking inside the throttle body or intake, or something like that, I just deleted it by looping a length of hose directly from one side to the other and then connecting the lose ends together. Maybe not your issue, and maybe you need to preheat there in MA, but you might be losing coolant into your intake.
