2002 model Red flashing sign of a car with an exclamation mark on the display screen.

After coming back from a two week vacation, I tried to start my 2002 sedan toyota prius; and it would not start. The master warning light came on, and then on the screen, the third icon (the farthest right) was blinking in red, it was an outline of a car with an exclamation mark in the middle of it. It does the same thing each time I try to jump it. However, at the same time, after jumping it, the battery seems to be fine, meaning that the display and radio start up fine, but soon after cranking the key, the engine seems to shut off. I bought the car used, so I don't have an owners manual or anything of that sort. I really appreciate any insight on my dilemma, thanks!
