2004 Brakes - like no power brakes

    Greetings Prius friends,
    My partner has a 2004 Prius with 200,000+ miles. The car has set since Thanksgiving 2021 when he was diagnosed with cancer and couldn't drive.
    Now it sounds like he could drive this coming fall. That being, he did take the car around the barn yard. He said it feels like there is no power brakes. You have to push hard on the pedal to brake.
    So thoughts?
    He is presently in the hospital for 2 more weeks and I'd like to have an idea what to tackle.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

    All dash lights on VSC exclamation point. Red B rA ke light all lit up? . probably ABS pump assy . NLA parts I think! Good luck

    were there any trouble lights?

    get the 12v load tested free at most auto parts stores
